On Monday, February 10, 2025, students from Athol High School were visited by Patrick Tutwiler, Massachusetts Secretary of Education and Noe Ortega, Massachusetts Commissioner of Higher Education as part of their Financial Aid Road Show; Free and Affordable College is here.
The discussion was focused on delivering the message that by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), students are eligible to receive free tuition and fees to any of the state’s fifteen community colleges, and eligible for free or reduced tuition and fees to any of the six state universities and the four University of Massachusetts campuses.
