Last month the district began the Vision of a Graduate process. As part of our next steps, we are holding focus groups for all stakeholders to gather information about the skills, knowledge and mindset for which you believe our students should possess upon graduating from high school.
The ARRSD Family Member focus group session(s) will take place next Tuesday, March 11th from 3:00-4:00 PM and next Wednesday, March 12th from 9:00-10:00 AM, both at Athol High School. Family members should plan to enter the building through the front main entrance, where they will be greeted and provided additional information on the location of the focus groups.
We hope to see you at one of these ARRSD Family Member focus group sessions.

Patch Parents Support Council, a support group for parents and caregivers presented by Valuing Our Children, will be held on the third Thursday of each month from 5 to 6:00 p.m.

Looking for a night out on Valentine's Day?
Drop off your children (ages 5-12) at the Athol YMCA, and while you enjoy an evening away, the children will play! Sign up at the front desk by calling 978-249-3305.

Valuing Our Children will be running a Cooperative Co-Parenting Through Separation and Divorce Group on Wednesdays, beginning February 26th through April 16th, from 5 - 6:30 pm.

Good morning: Due to the weather and road conditions, all schools in the district will be closed today. The central office will remain open.
Come and join us for a FREE, family, fun event with dinner included on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 5:15 PM. ARRSD is hosting the Title One- All Around The World Literacy Event at Athol High School. Doors will open at 5:00 PM.
There is an opportunity for one lucky family to win the grand prize raffle to Great Wolf Lodge. Each family that is present for a brief presentation from 5:15 PM - 5:30 PM will be entered in the grand prize raffle. Immediately after the presentation we will pick the lucky winner.
That is not all, the first 75 families will receive a goody bag for attending and we will have more raffles at the end of the event. You must be present to win the final raffle. Prizes include: Red Apple Farm Gift Certificate, Movie Passes and local restaurants.

The Athol-Royalston Regional School District is opening one school choice slot in the 9th Grade @ AHS. Any interested parties should contact Jody Leazott at our Central Office by January 2nd, 2024
Important Update - Given the weather and dangerous driving conditions across our district, all schools and offices in ARRSD will be closed today.
Good evening, ARRSD: Given the forecasted weather, we will be having a two hour delay for all schools tomorrow. If school becomes canceled, we will notify you before 7:30 AM tomorrow.
Important Reminder: November 25th, 26th, and 27th will be 1/2 Days in ARRSD. Parent Conferences will be happening on those days, as well. The 28th and 29th of November there will be no school. If you celebrate, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
Children's Advocacy Center will be facilitating beginning next Tuesday at VOC. This 6-week group for female-identified teens ages 12-17 will provide education, skill-building, and peer connection in a safe and supportive environment (with yummy snacks!). Topics include: risks girls face in person and on-line, healthy relationships and consent, MA laws governing teen sexting and non-consensual sharing of inappropriate images/videos, keeping self and friends safe, calming and regulating tools, and of course self esteem and empowerment.

Policy subcommittee has been canceled for this evening
Valuing Our Children's North Quabbin Patch Parents Council annual backpack drive will be happening August 1st and 2nd. We are encouraging families (who live in the North Quabbin) to pre-register for their backpacks. Pre-registration information can be found on the attached flyer.

Free meals will be available this summer for all kids and teens 18 and under at meal sites throughout Athol Royalston COMMUNITY! no sign-up or ID required. This summer, meals must be consumed on site with breakfast and lunch. Please see attached for locations and times
