Winter Skin

skinCaring for our skin is often considered a summertime necessity, but winter is when many struggle to keep skin healthy. Skin is the largest organ of the body and is our first layer of protection from the elements! Keeping skin clean and moisturized is only part of the equation. Application of sunblock on sunny days is important because of the reflection of sun off of snow and ice increasing our risk for sunburn. Covering up exposed skin during winter months helps ward off frost-bite and chapping. Speaking of chapping, don’t forget the lip balm to protect some of the most delicate skin on the body! Be ready to have some winter fun by taking great care of your skin!
