RCS Kindergarten Newsletter

Please do not send your child to school without proper winter attire (hopefully soon it will be warmer!). It is so helpful when children come to school wearing boots with a change of shoes. Hats and mittens/gloves are a must. We try to get them outside as much as we can and sometimes their little hands are icicles! The playground will be muddy for awhile please send your child in with sneakers to change into!

 Upcoming dates

March 26, 2014 Spring Pictures
April 7-11 Scholastic Book Fair
April 18 Field Trip to MWCC (please send back permission slip and $5.00 ASAP)
April 21-25 Spring Break
April 30 ½ Day

I’d like to start planning our field trips for the spring. Although I do not need chaperones for the upcoming field trip to Mount Wachusett Community College on April 18, I will need chaperones on any additional field trips. I am allotted $20.00 per STUDENT thanks to PTG. Last year the parents and I decided to take 2 field trips; one around town for “Community Helpers” and the other to Davis’ Farmland. These were great trips! However, we did need to raise additional funds (both out of pocket and by fund raising). The parents ran a “Snack Attack” which was a huge help! If you are interested in sending in something for “Snack Attack” or able to sell the snacks during our 10:00 snack time please let me know. As soon as I have enough volunteers I will book a week and let the school know!

Please write “Happy Spring!” in your child’s agenda on Monday, March 24.
