RCS 4th Grade Class Learns the Steps to Respect

On April 17, 2014, Mr. Hains’ class at RCS participated in a classroom lesson co-taught by Mrs. Schwab, Guidance Counselor, and Mr. Leander, Principal, about the Massachusetts Bullying Law, the definition of bullying, examples of respectful behavior, and consequences if students engage in bullying behavior at school, on the bus, at the bus stop, or through cyberbullying.  Mrs. Schwab and Mr. Leander will continue to teach these lessons to the 4th grade, during the noontime Computer Lab period, for 20 minutes, for the next three to four weeks.  They completed teaching this unit of lessons to Mrs. Knechtel’s 5th Grade class recently.  Students learned how to show respectful behavior to each other and to teachers at school, on the bus, and at recess.  If parents/guardians would like to talk with Mrs. Schwab, or Mr. Leander about their child, they can call the school at 978-249-2900.  Her voice mail extension is:  115*    Mrs. Schwab’s email is:  rschwab@arrsd.org    Mrs. Schwab is at RCS on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
