Just when you thought spring was in the air, another April snow day. As the school is quickly coming to a close the third quarter grades closed on April 1st and report cards were issued on Friday, April 8th. Grades 9-11 completed a grade reflection sheet during Advisory. Seniors remember to check your financial responsibility (books, uniforms, and etc.), complete your community service hours, and pay your Cap and Gown fee. If you any questions, please see Ms. Roberts in the main office. Finally, check your emails for scholarship updates.
Spring sports are in full swing. Please check the MIAA website for specific sports schedules, times and locations.
On April 13th, the High School and the Greater Newport Exchange Club will be dedicating several Freedom Shrine documents. Anthony trial notes, FDR’s “Four Freedoms,” McAuliffe’s Christmas Message, JFK’s “Ask Not” speech, and MLK’s “I have a dream.” Mr. Stuart Deane, Greater Newport Exchange Club and former Athol Exchange Cub Member, students from Mr. Caldwell’s US History Class, Assistant Superintendent Mr. Meyer, and I will provide brief comments during the rededication ceremony. A special “thank you” to Mr. Caldwell’s US History Class for providing the speakers for the ceremony and his intern for completing the program.
