A new, free English language class for parents and caregivers who speak other languages and have children in any Athol or Royalston public school is being offered. The class will meet weekly on Thursdays from 2:00 - 2:45 Riverbend School beginning in January 14, 2010. All languages and all levels, beginner through advanced, are welcome. The class is designed to meet parent needs. Parents attending can decide the focus of the class and prioritize among conversation, grammar, writing or reading. The teacher has taught English as a Second Language to adults at a local college for many years. Watch for more information.
This should be a fun way to meet other bilingual parents, get to know your child's schools and improve your English. Call your child's school or e-mail bgospodarek@arrsd for more information.

Symphony Math and Lexia Learning Software |

The District has adopted Lexia Learning as its major K-8 reading software. Parents can download the software here and should contact their child's school for setup and connection instructions.
Similarly, the District uses Symphony Math as its primary mathematics skill-building software (primarily directed at K-3, but with applicability elsewhere). It can be downloaded here and setup/connection instructions can be obtained from individual elementary schools. |

For all registration questions, please contact Julie Marynok at the Central Office by calling (978) 249-2400 or via our contact page.
Parents wishing to register their students will need to provide
- Immunization records
- Record releases from previous schools (forms available at the Central Office)
- Certified copy of the student's birth certificate (we will return the original to you immediately)
