It is federal law that families receive information from their children’s school in a language they can understand. To that end, the district is implementing new procedures for all communication with families who need translation.
Beginning immediately, if teachers need Spanish language translation, they should e-mail their text in English to Carol Rogers. Expect translations received by Tuesday to be returned to teachers by Thursday of the same week. Translation requests received after Tuesday will be ready the following week. Remember this translation procedure is only for family communication. This does not include school-work for the student.
For languages other than Spanish, the district will hire a translation service to provide textual and oral translation. If textual translation or a translator is required in a language other than Spanish, please contact Beth Gospodarek.
