AHS Mid-Year Exams

January 6, 2017

Dear Parents/Guardians:

This letter is to clarify the schedule and procedure for the upcoming mid-year exams and finals.

Students will have an exam in every class. Year-long classes will give a mid-year exam that will count as 10% of the final grade. Semester long classes will give a final exam that will count as 20% of the final grade. These exams will begin on Friday, January 20 and continue through Tuesday, January 24.

On these exam days, students will take two exams and then have two review periods. Then, they may leave school at 12:25 on January 20 and January 23. On January 24, students may leave at 10:40 provided they have finished all their exams. However, because they are shared with the middle school, the busses will run at their regular times. Students who do not have a ride home should report to the cafeteria where they may study for their next exams. If you would like us to make sure that your student remains in school on these days, please contact my office at (978) 249-2435.

Our quarter two report cards will be distributed on Friday, February 3rd. The second semester will officially start on Thursday, January 26 and students will follow a Day 1 schedule.

Please see the summary of this schedule below.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you,

Mitchel G. Aho, Principal
