Athol Royalston Middle School English Learning Society.
ELL students are raising money for Puerto Rico. As you may have been informed, Puerto Rico has been hit by two powerful hurricanes by the name of Irma and Maria. ELL students and the Student Council at Athol Royalston Middle School have, consequently, arranged a dance at ARMS to support Puerto Rico to raise as many donations as possible in a fun and productive way.
We are doing this out of kindness and integrity because many Puerto Ricans are suffering without any clean drinking water and barely enough food or electricity. Many people have damaged roofs.and when it rains even now, their homes are flooded all over again. Puerto Ricans are enduring a lot. As middle school students, we believe humans should help humans no matter the race, religion or where they are from.
Did you know that Puerto Ricans make 5 out of 8 vital medicines used in the U.S. ? Did you also know that they are U.S. citizens and they have fought for our nation since the Revolutionary War? They are us. We are them. We need each other , so please consider donating to Puerto Rican hurricane relief as part of our fundraising efforts. Paper money or checks made out to the Western Mass. Puerto Rico Relief Fund can be mailed or brought to 1062 Pleasant St. Athol MA 01331.
Thank you!
