A Message From our Principal

October 5, 2016

Dear Athol High School Families;

The school year has begun quietly and smoothly.  Thank you for all of your support.  Students are settling into the routines of academics and fall sports.  The theme for this school year is, “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” Gandhi.  September has quickly come and gone and with that, the first quarter progress will be issued on Friday, October 7th, 2016.  In addition, students will receive their spring MCAS results.  As always, if you have questions or other concerns about your child/children’s progress please contact their teachers or guidance counselor.

On October 12th, 2016 from 6:00pm-7:30 pm parent/guardian-teacher conferences will be held.  If you have concerns about your child’s /children’s progress the parent/guardian –teacher conferences are a positive way to promote communication and develop a plan with the teacher to ensure your child’s/children’s success.   Please contact Mrs. Kitzmiller in the Main Office to schedule your conferences.  The telephone number is 978-249-2435 or by email akitzmiller@arrsd.org.

Finally, AHS is going through some substantive maintenance.  The maintenance to the bathrooms by the gym has been completed. The floor tile has been replaced in the hallways by the flag door entrance and the Library/Media Center.  The boys’ locker room is almost complete; we are still waiting for the lockers to arrive and to be installed.  The auditorium has been repainted and we are waiting for the seats to arrive and to be installed.
