Postural Screening and Physical Exams

May is the time of year that Postural Screening takes place at school. Postural screening is an annual health screening that is mandated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. This screening includes only the students in Grades 5 and 6 at RCS; however, this screening includes all students in Grades 5-9 in the school district. Information and permission forms with be sent home on Monday, May 5th.

Students that have written parent permission to have their Postural Screening (Grade 5 and 6 students), and Grade 4 physical exams; done by the school physician; Dr. Egan, will have their exams done next week.

All completed exams done by private physicians need to be submitted to school as soon as the exam or screening is completed. These exams are school requirements and results need to be sent to school. These results can be faxed to school to (978) 249-4110. If you have any questions regarding the screening at school or your responsibility for the school requirement; please call me at school (978) 249-2900. Thank you for your cooperation in meeting this health requirement. Sheila Hall R.N.
